To bring awareness to the local resources that serve our communities by annually curating an energetic and engaging fundraising event for the benefit of specific Pitt County Non Profit organizations.

Chris Godley's personal story..

Chris was motived to go into the insurance industry in June 1997 after the loss of his two kids.  At that time, there was no life insurance in force for either of them.  Managing that grief was only compounded by not being able to properly say goodbye to his children due to lack of finances. He had to rely on the hospital for his children’s final expenses. This greatly troubled him for years so he decided that he would do what he could to prevent others from having to experience those same financial hardships.  That was the catalyst to Chris becoming a life insurance agent.  He believed that by sharing his story he would be able to help others realize the importance of having a life insurance plan in place for their loved ones.  Eventually, he became the number one life insurance agent in the country for the company that he worked for at that time, thereby achieving the industry’s highest award, Million Dollar Round Table, which represents the top 1% of insurance producers and advisors in the world.

Chris joined State Farm Insurance Company in April 2012 because their vision aligned with his own vision of making sure that taking care of clients’ needs remained a primary focus for how he operated his business.  He believes that, State Farm’s slogan “Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there” represents just how intentional they are about taking care of communities like ours. Through their corporate and personal donations, State Farm has invested hundreds of thousands of dollars back into our local community. And yet still, Chris wanted to do more. It was his desire to create a high energy, exciting and entertaining gathering that our entire community could participate in and raise funds that would benefit various local non-profits. The first fundraiser was held December 2019 and the community rallied behind him by showing a tremendous amount of financial support.  That year, he was able to raise and donate $15,000 to the Ronald McDonald House of Eastern North Carolina.

This year’s benefactors are the Ronald McDonald House and Horizons at The Oakwood School. The goal for 2023 is to raise a minimum of $60,000. Both of these amazing organizations have such positive impacts on the lives of children and families in our community; we want to continue supporting them in their efforts. The success of this event will depend on you! We kindly ask you to please join us in helping Party With A Purpose reach our goal of raising at least $60,000! Thank you in advance.
